Thomas Longley Landlord of the Star Inn
Church Street Dover, he was the
heaviest British subject 593 lb. He
once received a letter from Queen
Victoria complimenting him on his health.
He died in 1904 aged 58.
His coffin was seven feet long and required
12 bearers to carry it the
short distance from the Star Inn to
St Marys Church he was removed
from the Star Inn Via a Window.
