HMS Scimitar - H21.

28th May 1940: Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk.
31st May 1940: Damaged by German bombs during evacuation of British and other forces from Europe.

HMS Saladin - H54.

29th May 1940: Severely damaged by bombs during the Evacuation of Dunkirk.


HMS Sabre - H18.

28th May 1940: Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk.
30th May 1940: and 2nd June 1940: Damaged in air attacks.


HMS Anthony H40

September 1939. Convoy protection duty in the Channel and the East Coast.

April - May 1940. Assisted in the Dunkirk evacuation bringing 3,000 troops back to the UK. Was damaged by a bomb near miss on 28th May and was repaired at Portsmouth.

24th May 1941. Escort to HMS Hood and HMS Prince of Wales. After the former was sunk by the Bismark and the Prince of Wales damaged, she escorted the latter back to Iceland for repair. She was however absent from the action itself because she had been detached for fuel the day before.

HMS Worcester D96.

28th May 1940: Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk. damaged in air attack during this on 30th May.

23rd Dec 1943: Mined off Smiths Knoll off the Norfolk coast, North Sea. Her stern was blown off and she was considered damaged beyond economical repair after being examined at Yarmouth.


HMS Vimiera D23.

23rd-24th May 1940. Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk. On a single trip carries 0ver 1400 men from Boulogne.

24th-26th May 1940: Gives supporting fire to troops defending Calais.

9th January 1942: Mined off the Nore, off East Spile Buoy.


 HMS Westminster D45.

11th May 1940: At Dunkirk as part of Operation FA for support and anti-aircraft protection for the flank of the Belgian Army. She survived the war and for a short time afterwards she was used as a courier ship to and from Norway.
Broken up in 1948.


HMS Wolfhound D56.

27th May 1940: Left Dover for Dunkirk carrying Senior Naval Officer, Dunkirk (Captain W.G Tennant) with a beach party of 12 Officers and 160 ratings, suffering minor damage en route from aircraft attack. On arrival the area was too dangerous to set up the operation planned and she re-routed east of the harbour. Was again attacked and later took an early part in the evacuation of the Dunkirk beaches bringing back 130 troops.

HMS Windsor. D42.

13th May 1940. Evacuates Dutch government from Holland.
23/24th May 1940 Troop evacuations from France.


HMS Wild Swan. D62.

28th May 1940. Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk.
 
17th June 1942: Damaged in German air attacks 100 miles south of Bantry Bay, Ireland. Later sank after colliding with a Spanish trawler.


HMS Witch. D89.

28th May 1940. Part of Force evacuating BEF from France/Belgium - Operation Dynamo.

HMS Vimy. D32. (ex-Vancouver)

May 1940. Unsuccessfully attacked by U-60. (Faulty torpedoes) Part of Operation Dynamo - evacuation of BEF from France/Belgium.

1st June 1940. Damaged in air attack.

HMS Vanquisher. D54.

28th May 1940. Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk..

24th May 1945. Whilst escorting convoy WP.526 off the South East Coast of England, breaks off to attack German 9th MTB Flotilla laying mines off Brighton, and hits S112.

HMS Winchelsea. D46.

May/June 1940. Operation Dynamo. evacuation of troops from France/Belgium.

HMS Venomous. D75.

23/24th May 1940. Assists in evacuation of British and other forces from Dunkirk. Evacuated  4300 troops from Europe.

1st June 1940. Damaged in air attack off coast of France.
